| In this talk we shall discuss vortex nucleation in a rotating Bose-Einstein Condensates. We shall briefly review the recent experimental and theoretical progress in this area and then discuss our own work in this field. We shall also discuss some interesting developments which took place very recently in creating a rapidly rotating Bose-Einstein Condensates, a system which has some similarity with the Quantum Hall systems. |
