| The TPSC was set up by the DST, Govt of India, to promote collaboration and sharing of research ideas and results between different research centres in India.

The S.N. Bose National Centre for
Basic Sciences is the nodal centre.

The other participating Centres are : TIFR, Mumbai School
of Physics, Central University, Hyderabad MatScience, Chennai IOP, Bhubaneshwar
IIT, Kanpur PRL, Ahmedabad Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi
and the IISc, Bangalore.

University (MatScience), Visva-Bharati University and North Eastern Consortium (SNBNCBS),
